2023 Projection - Alex Bregman

These projections for Bregman in home runs and RBI seems low for a guy that’s going to be sitting in the middle of a powerful lineup like the Astros and the reason is they’re being weighed down by those from Bregman’s injury-plagued 2021 season.

While I’m fairly confident in the batting average, I wouldn’t be surprised if Bregman exceeds 25 home runs and 90 RBI, but can’t project that because of recent injury history. 

When you build a model, sometimes you disagree with your own model and that’s happening here.

Ironically, the projected home runs and RBI are close to what Bregman did in his first full MLB season in 2017.
