Some of the advanced stats indicate those numbers may be hard to duplicate as his xERA was over a full 2 points higher (3.19) and his BB rate (13.5%) was in the bottom 1% in the league.

Stanek is a low leverage reliever, with 1 save in 2022 (4 blown) and 3 saves in 9 chances in 131 games with the Astros over 2 seasons.

Can you ask for more than 13 wins from Urquidy with no Verlander and McCullers, Jr. on the shelf?

My numbers peg Urquidy as more of the same, suggesting he may have topped out, or come close to it, last season.

He’s not necessarily on the downturn, but rather closer to his ceiling and therefore I’d expect similar results.
