There’s not a lot to say about what we witnessed over the last two days, just an average team (on a good day) against a better team in a playoff scenario.
At the same time, fans booing, players complaining about the booing and following it up with another poor performance, and empty seats in a playoff game are all things we could talk about, but I’m not up for it right now.
But if that’s the last we see of the Astros for a while, that’s a tough way to go out.
The Future of Crawford Street Journal
I’m at a crossroads with this site and deciding how and if I’ll move forward.
Crawford Street Journal hasn’t grown the way I envisioned, but I enjoy the process of writing about and discussing the Astros, and I plan to continue doing that somewhere, somehow, here or somewhere else.
If you know someone looking for an Astros writer, let me know.
At the same time, I’ve made major automation strides and have a contingency plan in the works should there be a lockout next season, and I’m excited about the potential to cover the Astros and/or their MiLB affiliates in 2027.
I’m going to take some time and decide how to move forward.

What a sad way for the 'Stros to fold their season, Marty! Sorry to hear your thoughts of taking stock of "Crawford Street Journal," but I certainly understand! I wonder how other baseball sites are faring on 'Stack. Is it hit'n'miss, if you've checked, or are there just not that many?
