If the reports of Grae Kessinger being promoted and Cesar Salazar being optioned are true, it’s a much-needed move in my opinion.

Salazar has played in 10 games, starting 3 and having 0 impact. I never understood the third catcher, unless there was an injury concern I’m not aware of. It was a wasted roster spot.

In the off-season I suggested the bench would be weaker without Aledmys Diaz, but I had no idea how weak it would turn out to be.

Two struggles in a row for Maton, but you couldn’t expect him to pitch like he has all season long.
