Preseason Projections: 42.6%
Editor’s Note
Long night last night, both game and health-wise. Likely to be a short one for the next couple of days.
Season Projections
Big night for a couple of bats, as Abreu re-takes the projected lead in hits and Chas continues his hot summer [more below].
With a chance to win the series this evening, let’s hope Javier is ready to roll.
Astros 162
Have not done game 92 or 93 yet, but this will be updated a couple of times per week while I am recovering/rehabbing.
Bullpen Usage
Four bullpen arms with back-to-back days right off the All-Star break.
Today’s Pitching Matchup
NOTE: I’ve sorted these by wOBA against to make it easier to determine who to watch for (or bet on, if you are so inclined).
Javier has decent numbers against Angels not named Ohtani, but is difficult to trust at this point.
The Astros have stellar numbers against Tyler Anderson.
K Prop
The number for Javier is 4.5. and like Framber, Javier has plenty of history that suggests over is the way to go. My number is 6.47, comfortably over. I will throw out this warning, though: Javier has not looked the same recently, so take it at your own risk.
Odds
Astros are -130 on ML and +126 -1.5. After last night’s debacle, it’s tough to lay money on this team, but the numbers are too good. I’m taking both.
Projected Standings
